MapleStory – Merging Worlds?

9 04 2011

Hi maplers!  This is going to be a fairly short post, but informative nonetheless.  On the recent Dev Blog, Nexon spoke to us about differences between the overpopulated and underpopulated worlds of Maple Story.

This month, they plan to test a new system where players from two unpopulated worlds will be able to see each other in-game.  Boundaries will still be the same, the two worlds will remain two different worlds, but with more connections.  These connected include inter-world guild alliance, marriage, ETC.  Nexon also plans to give away a certain number of world transfers a month to people in overpopulated worlds. Chryse in GMS

7 04 2011

As many of you may know, the Floating Island of Chryse came to Global MapleStory a few days ago. I’m here to inform those of you who haven’t heard and those of you who are too lazy to research this information. 😛

Long ago, the isle of Chryse floated peacefully above Orbis. Its mysterious core powered the isle, keeping it afloat and sustaining its inhabitants. Over time however, Chryse drifted away from Orbis, and all contact was lost.

Chryse is not what it was. The once-beautiful island is awash in an atmosphere of darkness and danger. You will find a town in danger of destruction from powerful monsters, but saving the town will only be the beginning of your adventure. Talk to Michaela about the terrifying dangers that now confront the islanders and the powerful monster that must be destroyed.

3 04 2011

Already?  A new set of updates is coming to KMS MapleStory.  This update, known as MapleStory Jump!, won’t be as large as the Chaos and Big Bang patches, but important and interesting nonetheless.  If you read my last post about the reconstruction of warrior classes coming soon in KMS, well that is the first part of MapleStory Jump!  You can read this blog post by clicking here.

As stated by Spadow, MapleStory Jump!  will come in three phases, just as the Chaos and Big Bang patches did.  Translated from Korean, these three segments are known as: Counterattack of the Blade, The Spell of Awakening, and The Arrow of Speed.  These three patches will occur in KMS from March to May.
